We Got a Puppy!!!

Eeeeek!!!! And she is the cutest, sweetest puppy in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!

We are pleased to introduce Georgia, our 6 week old Goldendoodle.

Losing Pickles was tough. Beyond tough. After many, many, nights of crying myself to sleep, Branch finally caved agreed to letting us expand our family again. I did a bunch of research and we kept going back and forth on what type of dog we wanted to get. I have long said Pickles is the only small dog I'll ever have - he was the best of the best and there was no replacing him. I thought a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel would be great for the family, but Branch wasn't sold.

You may remember that we briefly had a Golden Retriever this summer, Margot. She was such a great dog - absolutely amazing with Easton - but unfortunately, East and I were super allergic to her. I had super itchy eyes all. the. time. and Easton was sneezing constantly. I talked to Easton's pediatrician and he said it's not uncommon for people to be allergic to specific breeds or even dogs within the breed (who knew?) but it all has to do with how much dander the dog produce. Goldens obviously produce a lot of dander. Fortunately, we were able to find her a great home and we're happy to report she's doing well!

Our solution - the uber popular Goldendoodle! Goldendoodles are half Golden/half Poodle. The result is a super intelligent, trainable, family friendly dog with significantly less shedding and less dander! So far, we have had NO allergy problems #praisehands

We knew we'd have better luck with introducing a puppy to Driver and so far it's going well! She is absolutely smitten with him and he is warming up to her. Easton adores her and she has really taken to him.

Puppies are a lot of work and we're trying to follow the book on puppy care so that we raise the best dog Georgia can be. It means constant supervision, mid-night potty breaks and starting her training from day 1 but I'd say she's worth the effort :)

Love y'all!
