Spring Catch Up

So much for staying on top of the blog, right??

I don't know about you, but this year is flying by! Spring is in full force and we've taken advantage of the nice weather to continue to work on the garden. I've been a busy bee planting shrubs in the front yard, as well as oodles of annuals and perennials. I also took advantage of Home Depot's mulch sale and spread SEVENTY FIVE bags of mulch! All by myself! And I have the sunburned shoulders to prove it ;)

In the middle of all that was Easton's third birthday party! We did a joint party with his best friend and it couldn't have gone better :) I'll save those pictures for their own post.

Next up, is a deck addition. We've wanted to make some changes to our deck since the day we moved in - it's not particularly usable in it's current state and with the help of our architect friend (his tools) and inexpensive lumber, we should be able to DIY it into a much more functional space.

In the meantime, I'll leave y'all with these Spring pictures:

 Visiting Papa at work

With March, comes basketball. We received tickets to an SEC tournament game held here in Nashville and brought Easton with us.

Later that month, we headed to Memphis to cheer on University of North Carolina in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games! Go Tar Heels!

We took a trip to Cheekwood with Mimi one fine afternoon...

And Easton looked absolutely adorable in this seersucker jacket! Unfortunately, the matching pants were too long to be hemmed so we had to go with a different outfit for Easter.

Without a doubt, Easton's favorite present for his third birthday was a trampoline (thank you Gigi and Papa!!) We spend a ton of time out there - sometimes nekkid!

East was SO excited to go on an Easter Egg hunt!

And sure was tired after the fun was done!

We also went on a trip to the zoo with his best buds, Dylan and David!

I'll be back soon with pictures from the party. Fingers crossed the weather holds up and we can make progress on this deck this weekend!

  1. Easton is a doll! But I really want to cuddle that sweet, fluffy pup of yours!! Gracious, she's cute! My favorite pics are the one of them in the basket together and the one of Easton watching tv with his little legs crossed. So cute!
