September 2016

Hi all! Today's update is going to be short and sweet because we are currently waiting to board our plane for wonderful Cleveland! I can't begin to tell you how excited I am for this trip! Not only will we get to see our good friends in their new city, we get to meet their beautiful new baby! Most importantly we're going to be celebrating my dad's birthday present in his hometown - we can't wait to take in the sights and a Browns' game - fingers crossed we have good weather! Plus, we're kid free (big thank you Mimi, you're the best!!).

September was another good month. Easton's physical growth is slowing down, as expected, but his vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. He's still so sweet, but also goofy and silly, without even knowing it!

It's so interesting to watch him grow and evolve. He's so brave and independent, but at the same time, he has also started showing signs of being shy around new people.

He's just learning to count - he can recite his numbers with some accuracy but can count up to four objects on his own.  He also knows the colors blue, green, red and white.

I don't know about where you are, but it's been unseasonably warm here!

He's pretty good at helping if I ask, but he's also an independent two year old trying to figure things out for himself. What can you do?

Now that we've finally got this whole "keeping another human being alive" thing figured out, Easton has decided to throw us a curve ball by beginning to test boundaries. We're getting through it as best we can :)

Stop growing up, sweet boy!

He loves being read to - every night, once his pajamas are on he tells us it's time to "read a book". He also likes to use the phrase "last one!" but uses it interchangeably with "one more".

We started a weekly gymnastics class in September and Easton loves it! His favorite activities are swinging on the rings and jumping into the foam pit.

As fast as he's growing, it's nice to slow down and remember he's still just our sweet baby boy. We sure do love him!

Love y'all!
